Chitradurga Fort [22 Sep 2009|05:24pm] Chitradurga Fort, originally uploaded by Chirag Rathod. Last weekend we did a quick 1 night 2 days trip to Chitradurga, Karnataka. Chitradurga Fort is well maintained and place is great for 1 day picnic. We had a hard time figuring out where to stay. Eventually we ended up staying at Hotel Naveen Regency. It was a great choice. We booked an "Executive" AC room for 1300 Rs per night and it was great. Food at the hotel was also tasty. It is located on NH4 (Bangalore - Pune highway). Putting this information here so that anyone planning a trip to Chitradurga does not need to hunt for a good place to stay, the way I had to!

Using an EJB Service / Reference in Soa Suite 11G [21 Jul 2009|02:50pm] With Oracle Soa Suite 11G ( FMW11G R1 ) we can finally use the EJB adapter. This adapter can be used as a service or reference. This means we can start a BPEL process by calling a EJB session method or use an EJB to lookup or change data. Using an EJB as service or reference is very cool because it is fast ( RMI ) and we can use the same EJB's ( Multi Tier ) for your Java Web applications and your composites ( Who needs the Database Adapter now?) This feature was added to JDeveloper 11g by yours truly ... at extremely short notice!
